27 March 2015
The new date for the hearing into the handling of the FBME Bank case by the Cyprus House of Representatives’ Oversight Committee will now be on Tuesday 31 March, according to published reports.
Originally, the Committee was to have held the hearing on 17 February, but this was postponed at the request of the Attorney General, Costas Clerides, because of the possible effect on various legal proceedings.
The Cyprus Parliament’s website, http://www.parliament.cy/easyconsole.cfm/id/326, writes that those invited to the session on 31 March are the Attorney General, the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus, the Executive Director and the former Executive Director of the CBC, and the head of the Republic’s financial crime fighting unit, Mokas.
